Indian Corn

"Indian Corn" is, as far as I know, native to North America. We use the ears as ornaments in the Autumn, generally marking the harvest and the Halloween and Thanksgiving holidays. It is not eaten by people. Now that the season is past, Indian Corn is sold off cheap (these were 3 ears for 25 cents at our farmer market) and used to feed the squirrels. I'm not sure as to whether my squirrels have eaten much of the corn or just had fun tearing the ears apart.
