Some local independent shops are reporting record sales this

year as snow bound shoppers have to buy local for Christmas.

"Given up on Cribbs Causeway" someone said and made me smile.

In town trying to get last minute stamps for last Christmas card post. The fresh snowfall in the street was reflecting light back up on to the buildings, making the whole street brighter than usual. I confess to a set up though, I made my daughter walk through the pool of light from the shop window.
