The Borders area is the heartland of rugby union in Scotland.

The game is played predominately by gentleman farmers, accountants and other professionals. It is not the game of the common man, although the showpiece international matches at Murrayfield attract huge crowds.

This is a team of people clearing the tonnes of snow from the pitch in preparation for the next game - they breed them tough down here!
