Dunlin?

Out to friends for lunch today, so this morning, to tire him out, I took Ollie down to the beach for an hour's playing about. He just loves the sea, and was swimming in and retrieving bits of seaweed and plastic bottles etc. As always I went in too deep, and the waves came over the top of my wellies.
We had a great time and I spied these dunlin (?) They let me get pretty close, they were feeding in the shallows and weren't bothered about me at all.

This afternoon Ollie had a good sleep, while I wined and dined. So lovely, after a delicious meal, to sit round an open fire with friends, with candles flickering, and catch up on everyone's news. Very Christmassy!
