Kitchen Noughts and Crosses

Kitchen Noughts and Crosses

It's a very old game
Of a very new sort:
Spoons and forks for crosses
And a cup for every nought.
We might get into trouble
If ever we are caught
Playing Kitchen Noughts and Crosses,
An indoor sort of sport.

You play it in the kitchen
Where there's tiles on the floor,
But never by the cooker
Or the sink or the door.
You only need nine tiles' space,
It's what the tiles are for.
So l declare a noughts and crosses
Cups and cutlery war!
