Cherry ripe - ready for Christmas

Cherries are such a part of Christmas and it's lovely to be able to go and pick them off the tree, warm from the sun!

this year there don't seem to be quite as many and Mr and Mrs Blackbird with their long beaks and clever working together seemed to be able to reach more than ever even with the netting on.

Still we enjoy watching them (and watching the neighbours cat watching them!). they are too canny to be anywhere near where the cat could get them, but they spend quite a bit of time scolding her!!
