This a lovely example of one of the beautiful birds I tried to photograph last time. The activity around the feeder is quite intense and these little guys don't tend to pose for long. A practice you can understand when one of the cats from hereabouts likes to periodically raid the bird table (way too slowly of course).

I also like the fact that it looks like this little guy has only got one leg. And an infeasibly thin one at that. i hope he gets a sock for christmas.
