Typical Kiwi Christmas

A pretty normal sight on Christmas afternoon in New Zealand. Average kiwis, parents and kids, playing at the beach with their new body boards, wet suits, cricket sets, kites or whatever Santa has brought this year.

I've chosen this photo especially because it also shows the volunteers who take time out of their own Christmas day celebrations to ensure the safety of everyone else - the lifeguards.

Christmas is probably a good time to thank all those who volunteer in any capacity, without their efforts so many things/services would not be possible in our country. Thank you!

You'll find that love and friendship is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.
