One Inside the Other

Happy Christmas to all-- I hope you and yours are still celebrating!

Santa has been to our house, we've had a late breakfast, video-chatted with eldest daughter in the Philippines, and phoned Grandma in Baguio (oh how we miss them!).

Daughter #3 is now making squid and panko-encrusted eggplant flash-fried in the pan, sprinkled with scallions and red pepper flakes. We're having this with the orange-ginger-apple-honey glazed duck which she roasted last night but that we never got to taste yet as the Japanese restaurant where she works part time, invited all of us to their Christmas party at 9:30 last night (sushi heaven!) ...

Raising our glasses of ginger ale and angostura bitters in a toast to all of you Blippers out there!
