so i was wrong. people were looking thank you. Christmas day really was one to remember, and for good reasons. we had fun on the walk from redmires to stanage edge; took photos with the aid of my new gorrilapod and a fisheye lens for my iphone; Joe had a little go at driving the car in the icy car park; and we had fun sliding on the frozen reservoir, tho both J&C fell on their bums (and i have video evidence of one of them :) ). Then we cooked our usual Christmas dinner, which turned out really well and was fun to prepare too with everyone helping, and much of the hard work had been done the day before. In the evening everyone watched dr Who whilst i snoozed and baked in front of the open fire, and we played games to finish off. Couldn't have gone much better, tho, being a family day, and given we are good at family stuff, christmas day was always going to be easier than what is still to come. dreading NYE already.
