Bread - stuff of life

Festive feasting done and dusted. Fresh baked bread buns

and beetroot borscht soup for lunch. Bubble and squeak with

cold meats and quiche and salads for supper. Smoked mackerel

and horseradish pasties, salmon and ginger. Trifle and boozy

pudding. Christmas cake and mince pies... looking forward to

some plain food for a few days and more fresh baked bread.

Snapped the bread buns I made with my daughter just after they came out of the oven and before the hordes, hungry from sledging all morning, scoffed the lot with lashings of butter and beetroot soup.
