Off to Vegas

We were a bit slow getting ready, but being in a large group which has some young ones, that is all we could manage. Everything on the freeway was almost at a halt. There were a lot of people going to Vegas. The landscape though was quite startling in its beauty. Snow capped peaks wrapped in cloudy scarves surrounded us while the flat land around us had very sparse vegetation. Apart from dry shrubs that grow in the desert, there were palms and cypresses. Palms and snow peaks make an uncannily interesting combination.

Our ride on the monstrous Suburban (there were some complains about this gas guzzler) was very comfortable. The entire route right up to Vegas has some brilliant potential for landscape photography. It was really cool too, that we put up at the MGM Grand!
