Evening in Baku

The last day of our four day Christmas holiday and we visited a friend near Baku's old city - Icheri Sheher - for tea and a play with her adorable kittens. Walking back to the car we passed this square - I liked the light, the few remaining autumn leaves and the statue and people sitting and enjoying the mild weather. Now we have another two days at work, and then it's a five day break - Worldwide Azerbaijani Solidarity Day and New Year. I'm looking forward to more time off. Realised at the weekend that I only have one more full five day week before I'm off on leave and maternity leave - exciting and slightly daunting at the same time!
