Manhattan Parking Place

We drove to New York City today for a meeting with the contractor for the renovation of our apartment on the Upper West Side.

The city received about 20 inches of snow on Sunday night, during a coastal northeaster that paralyzed much of the Eastern seaboard. As you can see from this blip, there is still digging out to be done. We had just parked in a spot with less snow (the left front fender of our car is just visible in the corner). It's on Central Park West at about 98th Street. There were a fair number of parking places to be had (far more than normally)--though all of them were of this nature.

The apartment looks terrific, although it's not quite finished. We will not see it again until we return from our stay in France in early April.
