digger at Hough

The first time I've been to Hough beach since before we moved to Tiree, the rusting JCB stands sentinel still. Walked a mile and watched the spray thrown up over the rocks in an icy north wind. Cloudy, but Barra just visible from the beach. A family herd - bull, cows and calves of various ages - nestled in a sheltered place among the dunes and watched us pass.
