My first blip

1st of January seems as good a date as any to start this journal.

And appropriately enough, my first blip is of my favourite place - Ringstead Bay in Dorset, UK. The wind was in the north so the sea was calm, and by late afternoon the beach was virtually deserted. The beach changes, sometimes it is all sand, other days all shingle, occasionally all seaweed, sometimes a mixture of the three, like today.

This was my first outing with my new camera - a Panasonic Lumix FZ 45. I'm really pleased with it, it's better in every way than the FZ 3 which has served me well for 5 years.
