happy new year

We spent the day with our son Luke and his fiancee Emma. At the end of the day we had to light a Chinese lantern and let it go. It was fine until it got caught in a nearby tree - so we watched it burn itself out - just to be on the safe side.

Anyway, it was a great thought at the end of a great first day of 2011.
