Ranch House

We took a walk at the Rancho de los Penasquitos adobe ranch house this afternoon. Even though it's just a mile or so down the road, I don't remember visiting it since the kids were in elementary school. They made candles and soap on this porch with the park rangers and docents. I also didn't remember that the ranch has goats and chickens in cages. They were more interested in us than they were scared of our dog Bailey (probably because they were hungry). The recent rains have made everything green around the adobe. By February, it will probably be mostly brown until next winter's rains.
