Culross revisited

We last visited Culross on 2 January 2008, so today was an appropriate day to return. It was similarly grey, but there was no snow on the ground and it was not as bitterly cold as it was today. I have some photographs from that day to compare to today, but they were taken with a truly terrible little Kodak point and shoot camera that was incapable of taking nice digital photos even in the brightest weather.

Today it was glassy still when we were there, and I was tempted by the possibilities of a shot of the Forth. On balance, though, I wanted to record the buildings even though we weren't able to visit them, it being a bank holiday of course. We've never been to Culross (or indeed Limekilns and Charlestown which we also visited/passed through respectively) in the summer and this is an omission we should rectify.

There was also time for coffee and a bun in the truly excellent Biscuit Cafe which has changed hands in the last couple of weeks, but - talking to the new lessee - seems set to continue in the same tradition.
