Crown of Thorns

Took Orlyn and my sister Kirsty to lunch with friends in Linlithgow. Stopped by Linlithgow Palace on way home where Orlyn was looking for a 'Princess at the fairy castle'. She wasn't in today, so maybe at the sales. Took this pic of the aluminium 'Crown' atop St Michael's Parish Church, just across from the Palace. Erected in 1964, it replaced the large arched stone crown that was removed in 1821 due to fears it would collapse under its own weight.
