Fun and Games

In 2007 I poured concrete all over the herb garden to make a basketball area for the boys. An act of sacrilege to any gardener but an enormous source of fun and games for the boys ever since.

It gets used nearly all year round and I am convinced it has made a big contribution to their ability to participate in their school sports teams.

It also give us a lot of pleasure to see them having fun together. A welcome change from the seemingly constant sibling rivalry.

It has been a big part of their lives and consequently of ours. A good enough reason for a blip in my opinion.
