After a cycle sprint uptown and half-an-hour waiting in a chill wind, my patience was rewarded as the Sun eventually rose from behind Arthur's Seat. Through a train of low cloud that acted as a filter, glimpses of the solar disc were afforded as the cloud raced by - showing the last stages of the eclipse as the Moon's shadow slid acoss the Earth, on toward Asia.
