Tiny splash of colour

This afternoon I strolled around the garden looking for any signs of life to photograph. Not a sausage (even in the BBQ) except for a lone little pansy bringing a tiny splash of colour to an otherwise dismal day.

To emphasize that, I thought I'd have a go at "selective colouring", so I searched the web for some software and instructions on how to do that. GIMP seemed favourite so a quick download and then some experimenting to find the best (I mean easiest) way to get what I wanted. A bit of a fiddle but worth it I think.
