Preston's Historic Skyline

Difficult to capture the history of Preston in a photo without the instrusion of modern buildings. This attempt at the Flag market shows the court building / town hall (left), and the stunning Harris Museum (right), the latter surely representing Victorian civic architecture at its best. In the foreground stands the obelisk which is 230 years old. I remember visiting the Harris as a youngster and being fascinated by the Foucault's Pendulum suspended from the ceiling.
