My Department moved home on 23rd December and this week has largely been spent unpacking. We used 351 plastic crates and that did not include the archive, which was already boxed.

Anyway, a new location means a slightly different walk to work which, most significantly, takes me through the small but worthwhile James' Wood. The benefits of this compared to an extra half a mile along the road are already noticeable. Plus I have a fine oak tree outside my office window.

I wrote in our Departmental Estates Strategy 14 months ago that it was an 'Objective' to have a tree visible from every room. We are almost there and it feels good.
