Sad feet

I'm a sucker for swans, but was sad to see this guy on the canal today with a ripped webbed foot. I guess he's still getting by okay, but it sort of flopped funny as he walked around on the ice. Poor thing.

Had my first afternoon of the new year back volunteering at the Water of Leith Visitor Centre today. Still really quiet in there this time of year so I got lots of my book read. Made a yummy thai dinner when I got home then napoleon and I sat in the same room but staring at different electronic devices for a few hours. As it is most nights. A shake up in our lives is required methinks?
