Boules de Neige

Several days after our arrival in Paris in early January 2009, there was still snow on the ground. (We stayed through March, and it did warm up.) I took this shot from a bus turning off the Blvd. August Blanqui, toward our apartment on the rue des Peupliers.

There is a pun in the title: The French means snowballs, and boules is the French term for bocce ball--a game played in all seasons in Europe, especially (in my experience) in France and Italy.
