jeni and the beans

The train now standing at platform Rex....

...is the 16.15 to Swimming.

Time to get ready! But not before a quick writeup. Would be a shame to waste the picture.

Ben did more washing up today. It got VERY messy. I can't remember what prompted the washing up session to finish, but it was probably a moment of over-enthusiasm on Ben's part.

This is my train track. I am really quite proud of it! Our babysitters last night, not only are they fab at putting Ben to bed, but they tidy up as well! We came home to a fabulous tidy front room. It prompted me to sort out all Ben's toys as usually there's never enough space for that kind of thing, so when Ben came down this morning there was all this SPACE! It was great! He decided we had to make the train track, so after letting him put a few pieces together (quite well, but with no big picture in mind) I asked if I should help. So we built this. It squeezed together in the end, I don't think the angles and everything were quite right but it managed. And the trains enjoyed it, and Ben enjoyed it, and we have had a really lovely day today.

Soup for lunch (did anyone see that thing on telly last night about soup leaving you feeling full for longer, rather than regular solid food and a glass of water? Interesting stuff), and then a sleep, and now it's time to get ready to go swimming. Swimbabies - or rather, Swimtots as Ben is now in, starts again tonight. Hurrah!!

Feeling much more positive today. It might be the tidy front room that's doing it. It might be a good evening at small group last night. It might be soup for lunch. It might be any number of things. Who knows? I like feeling like this though. Even when we have close to zero money left! It's going to be alright. It really is. It's days like this that keep you going on the days like I had earlier this week.
