A Fun Day

A Raindrop Catchin'
Dog Walking
Puddle Stompin'
Jungle Searching
Rain Boot Wearing
Treasure Finding
Little working kind of day.

We all went for a long walk this morning (the photo is our neighbor's pond). Though chilly and a bit rainy, we had a great time. Both kids returned to the house with "treasures": Ms B found some real "Indian Pottery" (some broken drain pipe clay that was once buried in the field), and Mr C brought back his own agate rock. Not only did both kids enjoy washing their treasures in the bathroom sink, but the clay opened up a whole new array of comments and questions from Ms B:

"Indians were here before us Mom."
"Were we Pilgrims? R at school was."
"Did we come on one of the boats?"

The mind of a five year old...always thinking and absolutely fascinating.

Hope you are all enjoying a fantastic weekend.
