Introducing "Heatherbelle"

She had an 18month gestation in the Manshed, the wonderful work of my other half.

The plans for this 14 foot Wherry came from British Colombia and for 3 years they occupied his thoughts as he studied them and worked out the materials he would use.
The mould was built and then came the work of shaping the thin strips of cedar planks to form the hull. And during the process the shed proved to be a mecca for locals and bach owners as they would call in to see the progress and offer advice.
Heatherbelle was fibreglassed and varnished and finally launched at the start of summer, a real beauty as she is rowed around the lagoon.
