Heringssalat

(= pickled herring salad)

This is a traditional dish on New Year's Eve in the northern part of Germany!

4 herring filets
beet root
1 apple
3 small pickles
1 small onion
1-2 hard-boiled eggs
a chunk of bologna
cream, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper

Cut up small all solid ingredients and mix well with the rest.
