Icicle Meet

This morning we went to the 39th annual Icicle Balloon Meet, near Marlborough. It's an informal meeting for balloonists and unlike most meetings you can get close to the balloons as they fill up.

We watched about 5 or 6 balloons go up - fewer than usual - and then the crowd descended on the one balloon left on the ground, forming a part circle around the people trying to get the thing inflated in a slightly gusty cold wind. After a few minutes they gave up!
