Cats cradle

This was the sight that greeted me this morning when I went down to the yard. It looks complicated and it is fairly complicated! The corn was taken out of the tall grain bin on the left by the pipe at the top and sent across into the barn on the right where it was deposited in the blue trailer which was parked up (the up-ended one). The milling lorry arrived and the corn was taken out of that trailer through the milling process in the vehicle which then emptied it into the green trailer behind the tractor where it will be stored under cover and used daily to feed the animals. Meanwhile we must get our own milling machinery to work again!

This was the only photo I took today. A friend came had coffee this morning whom I hadn't seen since way before Christmas, followed by the inevitable housework. Our house seems to be continually dirty! This afternoon a man from DEFRA arrived to see whether we are in the running for a grant. We hope to be building new necessary roofs over our cattle yards in the spring so it would be extremely helpful.

Now it is blowing a gale and the rain has set in.
