the sixth land

Before heading down to Poole to spend New Year's Eve with our freinds Deb and Reuben, we thought we'd have a spot of lunch somewhere. It hadn't occurred to us however that many of our favourite eateries would be closed for lunch as they would be open through the night.

Happily, the Alma Tavern, a nice old pub in Wandsworth, was open and served up a tasty steak sandwich. There were even newspapers to read while we were waiting for the food.

After that, we headed out of London and drove down through the New Forest to the coast.
