Back to a cooking theme- I was leafing through my mothers old cook book from the 1950s.

I came across the realisation that the hand painted illustrations are wonderful, it reminds me of the series "Mad Men".

Often the quotations are completely un PC which I love, as you will see from the following blips.

I tried to find the name of the illustrator however seems it would be an unknown art student at the time.
