Pounamu

....is the Maori for the greenstone you can find in New Zealand. Uli - my traveling friend - and I spent many hours walking up and down riverbeds trying to find some. We never did, but we still managed to pick up hundreds (literally) of these pretty little green pebbles.
It is said that if you have a piece of greenstone from New Zealand it will always draw you back there as it wants to return home. Its either that or the lovely weather, amazing scenery and friendly people!
