January Colors

We had a sunny, frosty weekend. This is the view from my back porch - looking over a field. I think that red dot on the right is a cardinal. They like to hang out back there but I didn't see him when I took the picture.

It's been a cold winter so far. The fields look so pretty in the morning light (this was taken in the morning) when the temperature is just right.

Kelly's birthday is tomorrow. Spent the day shopping for Wii Mario Cart, taking Sam to the movies and cooking stuff for tomorrow. Made pulled pork, cupcakes and cake. Also cut up the rest of the garden squash. It had actually frozen in the garage but it turned out fine. Kelly helped make the cupcakes and the cake and the frosting and she decorated. It was orange frosting.

Having just a "family and a few friends" party tomorrow.
