Hot and Cold

Afternoon sun sears through the cold air over Edinburgh's Old Town and Waverley valley.

In the foreground steam rises from the roof of the City of Edinburgh Council's new HQ building Waverley Court, while the iconic dome of the University of Edinburgh's Old College dominates this view of the city skyline, looking south.

I took this from Regent Road, as I headed from Scottish Government HQ to the Parliament.
