Christmas in Mitteleurope

Charles Bridge in Prague on Christmas day. A special atmosphere abounded. The jumble of buildings seem almost unreal, like a romantic historic film set. Every cobble scrubbed clean. It was freezing cold, of course, but no snow or ice to be found. In this part of the world it is Christmas Eve that is the great festival day.
