there was only one place to be on a rainy new year's eve day. and that was eilidh's daily ukuele ceilidh. so we danced in the rain in kelvingrove park to celebrate the fact that eilidh had played a ceilidh every day in 2007. we missed the first dance but listened to a song and danced a jiggy tune while our kids scootered in the distance. played soggy football and went home for mr skaterg1rl to cook a 7-dish chinese banquet which us and our guests only managed to eat 4 dishes of before we ungratefully begged him to stop. we played games and all got tired so at 11.45 we called it quits so our overwrought 6 year olds could go to bed.
