Over the past two months, I've been helping a friend organise some new audio visual equipment for their house.

What a privilege to help people spend money on new gear!

Today, I took delivery of the penultimate piece of the jigsaw; a Toshiba laptop. It's the first time I've ever interacted with a (Genuine) Windows computer when it's first been turned on. My last three devices have been Apple Macs.

Let's just say the experience was a little underwhelming...
