Into the Unknown

Movement studies continue.

Today I spent time in the gorge by the park. Everywhere was movement. A slow running stream twisted and turned between icicles and snow while a flock of ducks swam quietly in an open pool. The scene seemed almost still till a bird or three would charge off into the open air and skid onto the water´s surface a couple of meters downstream. Two ducks kept biting each other in the neck, flapping their wings. Fighting or kissing I had no idea.

While standing with my camera following birds into their flight, I thought how movement is so basic. Even while sleeping our lungs breathe and our hearts pump rivers of blood.

So there change. Continually. Nothing living is ever still.

Yet change also means this - charging off into The Unknown.

Perhaps that is why we are tempted to resist change. Continually ...
