Golfers in Hagley Park

Out walking in Hagley again today. Only a few golfers about today. Very very hot and windy. We are so fortunate to have this wonderful park in the central city.

All due to the fact that the original settlers in the area, the Deans brothers insisted upon a 400 acre buffer zone between their farm at Riccarton and the new town of Christchurch which was started by the Canterbury Association in 1850.
