Bells not ringing

So, today we were going to take Visitors A and B for another walk in the Worcestershire countryside but it was raining. A lot. So instead we drove to the next village to have a look at the church. Visitor B is big into local history and wanted to have a bit of a poke around.

We spent a very pleasant hour or so looking at the old gravestones and then found that the church was open (!) so mooches indoors too. It's a very un-ornate church inside, apart from the east window, ornate stained glass depicting several bible stories.

These bells were taken down in the 1980s as the tower wasn't strong enough to hold them, apparently. So now they're sitting on the floor at the back of the church looking a bit forlorn. I obviously gave them a bit of a knock and they still sound good, or at least they would if they had hanging space.
