Planko's Pics

Floods

Thanks to everyone who commented on my 200th blip yesterday. I didn't think blip celebrated 200, but obviously it does.

DIY rescue visit to the outlaws in Arbroath today, first as Planko the plumber to fix a broken toilet by replacing the entire flushing mechanism, then as Planko the locksmith to fit a mortice lock.

Ive often considered a swap from working in IT to being a plumber, as it's really only changing one type of $h1t for another ;)

After Mrs P and her mother had crammed as much as they could into the car from their shopping trip (undertaken whilst i was hard at it...typical!), we headed up to Lunan Bay for a spot of blipping. Kids still feel rotten, so they all stayed in the car whilst i dottered about like a madman getting my fill of blips before rushing back to the car feeling guilty for leaving them.

It was great to get out and blip for a change. All the snow has been cleared away by a weekend of high temperatures (10-11 degrees c) and lots of rain.

There's always a downside of course; a lot of rivers are bursting their banks, including the Tay at Perth. I hear Bridge of Earn has been hit heavily; my sons friend lives next to the river there so i hope their house is OK.

Must dash along tomorrow morning and get some blips and see how the defences are holding up.

Todays blip is of the River Lunan bursting its banks near Lunan Bay at sunset. Best viewed large
