Normality - Staged

This is an every day - well, evening - occurrence in our home. At some point, we relent and allow Lil up onto the sofa, at which point she muscles in amongst us and snuggles up.

But tonight is not ordinary. Sure, the kids are in bed. The tv's on, and I'm here. But she's gone to work, for a nightshift, which is not normal.

I always lose my equilibrium when she works nights. My body clock wobbles, and my sleep pattern goes to pot leaving me restless and grumpy. And Lil never quite knows what to make of it.

So, for Lil's sake, tonight will be normal. I've staged a shot of what we would normally be doing. I will make us relax. Although, self portraits are not the norm for me...
