Inside, Looking Out

Observed for the first time in 1983, Martin Luther King Day is a federal holiday in the U.S., celebrated on the third Monday in January. Its establishment was not without controversy and a few rebel states kicked and screamed about it for years.

So there will be no mail today and the History Channel is playing an interesting retrospective on MLK. It was quite a life.
