Flood stops walk

After a night of heavy rain, our lunchtime walk around the local lanes came to a standstill about a quarter of the way round. As we didn't have wellies and had to sit at our desks for the rest of the afternoon, we decided against wading through.
The sun was out, fleetingly, and the birds were much more active and vocal. We even saw some daffodil leaves pushing up through last year's leaves on our way back to work.
