284 or is it 283?

Tonight I am finishing my packing for a weekend hillwalking on Skye.

This weekend (Saturday) will be when Colin completes his first round of all of the SCOTTISH MUNROS, there are 283 of them, all sitting over 3000ft, however when Colin started there were 284 of them and he has managed to so far climb 283 (one of them has since been demoted from Munro classification to a Top) leaving one final mountain to climb to have his name added to the list of people who have completed this mammoth task.

To top it all we will be filmed for a documentary on scottish hill walking however it will be for the Japanese market so it wont ever be aired on UK TV.

Myself, Dave and Paul who have managed to climb these Munros with Colin, with each of us on a different count, will walk this last one with him carrying a bottle of champagne to drink at the top and a bottle of whisky to present to him to honour his achievement.

Congratulations Colin and lets hope that we wont be needing the Ice Axe and Crampons foe your final tick in your munro book.

Look out for more photos over the weekend, with hopefully saturdays photo being a successful climb to the top of Bruch na Frith.
