Perfect Day

Fantastic day today at Heathcote's restaurant in Longridge, where I joined a party of ladies who don't often get any lunch for a cookery demonstration followed by a sublime lunch.
Head Chef Chris Bell elevated the humble cauliflower into a curried soup that had the most reluctant taster in ecstasy, not to mention weaving his magic around duck breasts with braised beetroot and caramelised apples, potted crab and plums with red wine and basil with creamy rice pudding.
This lovely man is on TV next week competing in The Great British menu...look out for him and cheer him on...his creations sound delicious!
